As of September 2008 we no longer use Fort Amherst as a larp site. We are currently negotiating several alternative sites to use. Any reference about Fort Amherst on this website should be ignored and is an oversite in my webskills.
Larp?
It is like being in the Lord of the Rings films but the story is different and you get to do all the acting and fighting. No dice are used. So if you want to hit an Ogre with a magic sword then walk up to it and hit it - easy ! (until the Ogre hits you back that is).
Another description is running around woods and tunnels dressed as Orcs and Elves hitting each other with rubber weapons!
